The final stage, performing is the heart of being a high performance team. This stage is characterized by spontaneous interaction, synergy, and results. If not monitored and wisely encouraged; burnout, overload, and disharmony can occur at this stage. The team also needs to spend time renewing as well as recognizing and celebrating their success.  Most managers don’t realize that at this stage; your leadership is vital for encouragement, approval, and/or course correction.  If the objective has been completed, it is time for assessment.
