For successful norming the team lead must align their work with greater strategic objectives, establish clear processes and coordinate the execution of the work plan. Communication and the willingness to share continueto be paramount. Potential pitfalls here include conflict, confusion, nonalignment, missed deadlines and project failure.  Intervention may be necessary at this point if alignment and processes are not clearly understood and/or established.  It may be helpful to bring in an outside facilitator to guide the team into success without fear of judgment from colleagues or management.
