When Covid-19 first struck, a lot of organizations made plans very quickly. Going remote, changing services, changing expectations, all of these things can have a dramatic impact on your organization’s culture.
As organizations start to look towards the next “new normal,” it’s important to think about the culture that’s developed over the past few months. What parts of it are good? What parts of these new behaviors and operations do you want to take with you as you return to in-person work. We adapted an Operating Model Comparison Template from Human Synergistics to help you think through how your organization’s culture and operations have changed, which changes you might want to keep, and which changes have pointed out weak spots in your organization. You can download it, along with instructions, and begin a discussion with your team today.
We recommend you fill out the template by holding focus group style meetings with at least two separate groups of employees. This will help ensure that you are receiving a diversity of ideas and opinions. If your services have changed, you may also want to discuss the changes with people you serve.
